La historia de Dune comienza con la llegada de la familia Atreides al planeta Arrakis, donde sus enemigos, los Harkonen, intentan acabar con ellos por medio de una brutal masacre, en la que solo sobreviven Paul Atreides, Lady Jessica y unos pocos aliados como Gurney Halleck.
Las consecuencias de poner las riendas del poder en manos de superhéroes, en lugar de dejarlas a una humanidad consciente y responsable conforman el tema principal en la saga de Dune.

The story of Dune begins with the arrival of the Atreides family on the planet Arrakis, where their enemies, the Harkonen, try to wipe them out by means of a brutal massacre, in which only Paul Atreides, Lady Jessica and a few allies such as Gurney Halleck survive.
The consequences of putting the reins of power in the hands of superheroes, instead of leaving them to a conscious and responsible humanity, form the main theme of the Dune saga.
